What is a Rite?
Rite is a Latin word meaning religious custom, usage or ceremony.
It refers to words and actions prescibed for a liturgical or sacramental act.

What is the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults? RCIA
It is a process through which people become fully initiated members of the Catholic Church.
It is a year-round program available to everyone.
It is a journey set within the liturgical year with instruction for those seeking conversion and any Catholic with questions.

Who shoud attend RCIA?
Anyone who is an unbaptized person interested in joining the Catholic Church through the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Holy Eucharist.
Anyone who was baptized in another Christian church and has felt a call to learn more about the Catholic Church
and has questions about what the Catholic Church teaches.
Any Catholics who may wish to revitalize their faith by completing the sacraments of initiation (Confirmation and Holy Eucharist).
Any Catholics who would like to learn more about their faith through regular inquiry and discussion.

What if I am not sure about joining or completing the process?
Any life changing decision is one that should be considered with prayerful contemplation.
